Edge of the City Live #4 • The Franco Proietti Morph-tet
A long time supporter of Edge of the City, and easily one of favourite Montreal based jazz bands, The Frano Proietti Morph-tet, was our headliner for the September live podcast event. They played a brilliant set, featuring Jonathan Emile and Bad Weather (who will be opening our first live podcast event of 2013 on Saturday January 26th).
We also featured comedian Darren Henwood, a Confabulation story by Joe Conto, and opening the night, her very first time performing, the beautiful and wonderfully talented Victoria Laberge.

Edge of the City Live! #3 • Jenn Mierau & Motel Raphaël

Edge of the City #51 • DeAnne Smith / RED / Street Meat
Segal Centre’s RED has another week ahead of it, and we have a brilliant review of the play.
Just a few days ahead of the next Let’s Do This! Comedian DeAnne Smith talks comedy and a whole lot more!
Their music is bred from the streets, and no musical guests Street Meat are launching their debut album, this Friday at Divan Orange, their blend of gypsy jazz, rock-a-billy, country and classical music are ideal for drinking and dancing.

Edge of the City #50 • Fruit, Foodies, Vaudville, Music and Smut
Edge of the City brings you a lot of food, great music, a vaudville show, and a whole lot of smut!
Emmanuel Hessler and Katherine Macnaughton, are not just filmmakers, but also founding members of The Foodie Collective, they will be releasing their first cookbook this coming Wednesday, at En Cachette, with all proceeds going to Santropol Roulant.
The Fruit Hunters has had a brilliant opening here in Montreal, and in Toronto. Producer Mila Aung-Thwin and director Yung Chang, join us to talk about the film.
From Waterfield’s Follies: a Vaudville Review, we welcome Keith Waterfield, and just a day ahead of his album launch we have musical guest Shane Murphy.
And as she makes her way back to Montreal, Cameryn Moore joins to talk about Smut Slam IV: “THE GIFT”, and her next few months in Montreal.

Quincy Armorer is the artistic director of Black Theatre Workshop, and he joined us to talk about their newest production, Harlem Duet, opening this week in the Segal Centre Studio. It is directed by Mike Payette, and opens on Thursday October 25th.

EOTC Podcast #43 • The Rocky Horror Show & The Player’s Theatre
This week, we featured Shane Adamzack and Shayne Gryn, from The Rocky Horror Show opening this week at MainLine Theatre. The fun begins on Wednesday, and continues until Saturday night. There are two shows on Saturday, one at 8pm, the other at 11pm! So, we of course recommend going to the 8pm show, and heading to our showcase with Jenn Mierau and Motel Raphaël after!
Also on the show, Dane Stewart from The Player’s Theatre. They have their second production of the season opening this week. Company opens on Wednesday and it runs until October 27th.
And from Confabulation, Montreal’s only all-true storytelling event, we have an awesome story from Josh Budman, from this past Saturday’s Masquerade! Confabulation presents Defiance is on November 8th, at MainLine Theatre.
